Abzal Zhaparov

Abzal is responsible for leading the operations team based both in the Aktau office and in the field. His direct reports include all operations, marketing, geology and geophysics personnel and he works closely with the Kazakh Heads of Finance and Legal/HR as well as Group CEO, Geoff Gander.
Abzal has over 25 years’ experience in the oil sector and has spent most of his career working in the Mangistau area. His career has included time with large multinationals (Texaco and OMV) as well as smaller Kazakh oil producers.
